6/28/10 - The Midwestern Show n Go brought out of state teams from Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan. There's great talent here in the Midwest and we feel privileged to have them show their skills on our amazing courts! Thank you to everyone who Joined the Fun! 6/18/10 - The High School Summer League is starting June 22nd with teams from Benet, Glenbard South, Willowbrook, Addison Trails, Universal and Evanston. Look for other amazing teams to cameo at this sizzlin summer league! Don't forget to register for the Midwestern Show n Go coming up next weekend!
5/31/10 - May brought some amazing tourneys with some outstanding talent. Nothin But Net brought out the 3rd graders thru the high schoolers, giving everyone a run for their money. Slammin n Jammin brought in the ladies for some great competition! Thank you all for Joining the Fun this month and enjoy the holiday weekend! Don't forget our camps & leagues are starting in June! 4/20/10 - The Criss Cross Classic brought girls and boys to Walker Athletics with some great talent crossing over their competition! Thanks to all who Joined the Fun! McDavid was here for sales & provided cinchbags for the raffle! Thanks to all of our teams, players, spectators and sponsors for a great event!
4/12/10 - Spring Bling tourney was awesome! What an exciting event @ Walker Athletics: Globetrotter tickets were raffled for their show April 15th at the United Center and the championship games showcased some great talent in the area & beyond! Thank you to everyone for Joining the Fun! Don't forget, the WNBA Chicago Sky mascot Sky Guy will be back for more shows during the Girls AAU events April 24th and May 1st. 3/30/10 - It's April already and we have 2 tournaments before the Girls AAU event at the end of the month. Join the Fun at the Spring Bling Class April 9-11th or the Criss Cross Classic April 16-18th or both!
3/29/10 - The AAU Spring/Summer season started with a slammin' 16U Boys qualifier at Walker Athletics this past weekend. Talk about superior high school basketball!! Thank you to all the teams who participated, AAU and the Bakers for hosting such a great event at our facility!
3/15/10 - Thank you to everyone who made history with us by Joining the Fun @ our first annual Walker Athletics Invitational! As promised, there was some amazing talent at this event. McDavid Joined the Fun by bringing in compression shorts, shirts and shooting sleeves along with a special internet promo code just for this event! Thanks McDavid! This event will run again next year. Thank you to all the teams, parents and sponsors for an amazing travel season!
3/8/10 - March Madness was AWESOME ~ over 60 local and midwestern teams Joined the Fun in this exciting event - including 3rd grade and girls! Dicks Sporting Goods provided $20 gift cards for the raffle along with discounts and coupons! Thanks Dicks Sporting Goods! Just another example of how your tournament dollars go farther at Walker Athletics! Thanks for Joining the Fun!
2/22/10 - February has been quite exciting at Walker Athletics! Not only did the NLA For the Love of the Game tournament provide awesome competition but the additional tournaments hosted by GameDay USA were exciting ~ Lisle War on the Floor and their 2nd annual Shoot Out for Cancer benefiting Edward Hospital & Camp Hope! Our Special Thanks to Rich Janor, Janor Sports and GameDay USA for their support and participation this year!
2/14/10 - NLA For the Love of the Game was a great success! Thank you to all who participated. Congratulations to those who won the Fathead giftcards.! Enjoy! All Star Sports photographers are offering a team package for the next tournament ~ let them know you're interested for great action shots of your players during the games and the team photo at the end of the tournament.
1/28/10 - What's next? Fatheads has provided $50 giftcards for raffle at the NLA For the Love of the Game tournament February 12th-14th. This is event is filling fast!
1/26/10 - The 9th Annual Mayor's Goodwill tournament, for local 8th grade junior high school teams, was saved this past weekend at Walker Athletics! Credit goes to all who volunteered and donated so much to make this event a reality!!
O’Neill took on last year’s champion, Jefferson Junior High for the title and won. Leading scorer for O’Neill was Javon Turner with 10 points and for Jefferson, David Moore with 7 points. Eisenhower took third place over Herrick with Eisenhower’s Larry Motuzis scoring a record breaking 30 points. Herrick was led by Jazz Charrier with 11 points. St. Mary Gold won the consolidation game against Lakeview Junior High. Both St. Mary’s Jacob Mauer and Lakeview’s Jacob Amiri led their teams with 8 points each. St. Joseph and St. Mary of Gostyn Blue rounded off the tournament for a full day of exciting competition. Head Coach Jim Thomas of Downers Grove North distributed team trophies as well as medals to show appreciation to all who participated.
Additional awards, donated by Titcus Pettigrew and Illinois Speed Basketball, were presented to the tournament MVP Danny Spinuzza (O’Neill), the Sportsmanship Award to Matt Sigerich (St. Mary) and All-Tourney Team trophies to Jacob Amiri (Lakeview), Javon Turner (O’Neill), Anthony Metz (O’Neill), Sean Sandacz (Jefferson) and Larry Motuzis (Eisenhower).
The New Year just keeps getting better! Game Day USA's I Have a Dream Tournament was a great success. Thank you to all who enter our facility!
1/12/10 - Happy New Year! Walker Athletics opened the new year with some overwelmingly exciting events! The January Jam tournament showcased both boys and girls teams in our largest event yet! Sky Guy and his 3 man dunk team rocked the joint to music by AudioWest. These boys can certainly play basketball ~ and get the audience into the groove. If you missed them, don't worry. You can see Sky Guy and his crew again, here, for the Girls AAU District Tournaments April 23-25 and April 30-May 2! JOIN THE FUN!
12/1/09 - A special Thank You to Santa Claus for making at stop at Walker Athletics on December 19th and to the Harlem Globetrotters for providing game tickets to raffle at the Holidays on the Hardwood tournament!
11/24/09 - Thank you to all of the teams that supported Nothin' But Gravy! Have a safe & happy Thanksgiving! We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will close early on November 27th. The Rising Stars, Raptors, Finley Bumble Bees, Naperville Rockets, Christian Travelers and Northside Warriors to name a few have earned an invite to Walker Athletics Invitational. Congratulations!

9/23/09 - Walker Athletics welcomes 5 Star Basketball Coach Loren Jackson and the 2009 Skills Academy Camp. Coach Jackson is offering three camps beginning October 2nd for boys & girls 4th-12th grade. Check our camp information under Sports Programs for your opportunity to train with the best!
9/22/09 - Best wishes to Mr. Sean Pruitt on his next professional endeaver! Mr. Pruitt trained at Walker Athletics over the summer in preparation for his opportunity to join the NBA Golden State Warriors. Go get 'em Sean!

9/13/09 - Our first Fall League is off the ground with some exciting middle and high school boys basketball! High school players from Waubonsie, Naperville Central, Oak Park River Forest, St Charles North, Downers Grove North, Chicago Latin, World Class and T-Wolves are highlighting some of the best talent in the Chicagoland area. 8/3/09 - Congratulations to Illinois Speed Basketball for its 7th place National ranking in 5th grade boys and 20th Nationally for the 6th grade boys! Nice job boys!
7/17/09 - Congratulations to Illinois Performance Volleyball for its 1st place championship at Asics Junior Nationals at Navy Pier. Two additional teams placed in the top 9 and 13 black earned a bid to the Junior Olympic Volleyball Championship. Nice job ladies!!
7/14/09 - A special Thank You to Woodridge Buffalo Wild Wings for sponsoring the National Tune Up tournament. Their generousity provided t-shirts for all participants, trophies for 1st & 2nd place, and gift cards - You Gotta Be Here! A free raffle was provided to all spectators with many taking home a $5 gift card. The BWW mascot posed for photos with the top teams and wild wing sauce was available for purchase. This most exciting weekend of basketball was filled with fun! Tournament champions included Illinois Speed, PDAAK, Illinois Tarheels and ESP. Thank you for Joining The Fun!
6/24/09 - It just keeps getting better at Walker Athletics! Join Buffalo Wild Wings July 10-12th at the Buffalo Wild Wings National Tune Up Tournament at Walker Athletics. 6/23/09 - The first Boys High School Summer League began with some amazing competition from Benet, Fenton, West Chicago, Maine East and Bartlett. Guest team appearance from Maine South this week added to the excitement. With players looking at the Division I college experience, these teams will be the ones to watch this high school season!

6/1/09 - The Boys Slammin N Jammin @ Walker Athletics tournament brought in the little guys as the third grade division fought like champions during their games! The champion was determined in overtime with style and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all of the third grade teams for their successes! Equally as exciting and hard fought were the high school teams including Illinois Heat, Quad City Select, Illinois Trojans, T-Wolves, Raptors and Illinois Flame. Join the Fun! 4/30/09 - The April NLA Spring Bling Classics for boys and girls were truly sucessful with not only local teams but also teams from Wisconsin and Minnesota. We are the place to play! Congratulations to all teams who participated! We look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
3/31/09 AAU U16 Central District tournament was played this weekend and marked another historic event in Walker Athletics history. This was an an exciting competition! Thank you to the Bakers, AAU and all of the U16 teams who attended for trusting Walker Athletics with their boys basketball needs.
3/14/09 - The first girls basketball tournament was held at Walker Athletics and was a wonderful addition to the many tournaments yet to be seen. Thank you to the girls teams, coaches and families for an enjoyable weekend of basketball!
3/12/09 AAU U16 boys basketball is coming to Walker Athletics on March 28th and March 29th. Thank you to the Bakers for bringing this exciting event to our facility! Thank you to Benet Academy for Joining the Fun and providing additional court space. Please contact AAU for registration information.
2/21/09 - Game Day USA's ShootOut for Cancer was enjoyed by all! Donations to the Edward Hospital Camp Hope program were made by Game Day and participants benefiting children of families with cancer. The success of this event was two-fold!
2/15/09 - The West Suburban ShootOut marks the first tournament utilizing our new Sports Lounge and Cafe'. With the TV and the grill, it was quite a success! The St. Louis Majestic's 6th grade team came to town for this event, enjoying great competition from Illinois Speed and PDAAK. Thank you to all of the teams who joined the fun and made the tournament such a success!
1/15/09 January Jam tournament brings out the best for the new year! Lisle Mayor Joseph Broda watched his grandson play for the Bolingbrook Magic and North Central College men's basketball coach watched his son play for the Cardinals. Bring your game to Walker Athletics!
